ABOUT OAR
Oklahoma Alternative Resources (OAR) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is an advocacy for parents with dependent children who are in need of legal assistance for family law related matters.
Our organization has
implemented a program that both increases access to legal services by
the low and middle-income public while providing adequate compensation
to participating lawyers. The design of this program is to meet
the need for access to the justice system by those of low income, where
legal aid and pro bono assistance are not possible and household
resources are insufficient to pay prevailing hourly rates.
By increasing the
quality of legal assistance to these families, we can ensure that the
children have the resources they need to live safe, stable and
productive lives, the latter being the primary purpose of our
organization.
ITS ABOUT THE
CHILDREN
Keeping our children
safe and helping them obtain the necessary resources they need to live
safe, stable and productive lives is our primary mission here at
OAR. By working through the parents of these children, we can
help achieve that goal. The decisions that are made as parents
carry substantial weight in the lives of these children. Whether
a parent is going through a Divorce, Separation, Paternity, Adoption or
Child Support case, behind the scenes, there is a child or children
bearing the consequences of those decisions. Children have the
right to have security, peace and hope in their lives.
ATTORNEYS THAT CARE
ARE PARAMOUNT TO THE SUCCESS OF OAR
The attorneys that
work with our organization are all licensed attorneys for the State of
Oklahoma and are experienced in family law matters. These
attorneys have agreed to work at reduced rates to provide access to the
legal system to those that would otherwise be without
representation. It is through our mutual desire to help families
in need, particularly children in abusive situations, that makes our
organization a success.
OAR IS HELPING TO
BREAK THE CYCLE OF ABUSE IN OKLAHOMA

helping break the cycle of abuse here in Oklahoma. Abuse comes in
many forms. Physical, sexual, emotional and neglect are different
forms of abuse. Everyone has the right to live without harm or

abuse present, help is available.
